PhySec.biz ("we," "us") publishes industry news, a product catalog, and a dealer forum for physical security professionals. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
Account information. If you register for a forum account or submit content (news stories, product listings, reviewer or moderator applications), we collect your email address, username, and whatever details you provide in that submission.
Content you post. Forum posts, submitted news stories, and product submissions are stored and may be displayed publicly on the Site once approved.
Usage data. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site (pages viewed, general location, device type). This is aggregated and not tied to your name.
Contact form. If you use the "Email the editor" contact form, we collect whatever you submit (name, email, message) solely to respond to you.
We use this information to operate the forum and submission workflows, moderate content, respond to inquiries, and understand overall site usage so we can improve it. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
The Site displays third-party advertising (including manufacturer partner banners). Clicking an ad redirects through a tracking link so we can measure click activity; we do not share your personal account information with advertisers through this process.
We use cookies for session management (keeping you logged in) and for Google Analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser, though parts of the Site (like staying logged in) may not work properly without them.
We retain account and submission data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us at the address below.
PhySec.biz is a B2B trade resource for security industry professionals and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
